Managing a Contractor's Schedule


The “Managing a Contractor’s Schedule” presentation is from the Encore Group project management series. It covers a common set of issues dealing with project schedules. Most agencies abdicate the responsibility of the project schedule to the contractor. In doing so, they are often helpless when it comes to development of a reliable project plan, monitoring the plan, and resolving issues impacting the plan. This presentation covers basic steps Owners and agencies can take to gain and manage control of the project planning and scheduling process for construction projects. From simple inclusions in contract specifications to tracking progress for accountability, this presentation will provide easy to implement guidelines for gaining control of the process.

Prior to the luncheon City staff will make a 5 minute presentation on their department, upcoming projects, and contracting opportunities. This will be followed by a 2 minute Q/A.
