Conference Planning Committee Chair
The conference planning committee organizes and puts on our premier event of the year for education and networking. The event takes place the 1st week of November at the Richmond Auditorium and consists of two days of educational sessions (16 per day) covering all aspects of public works, a Roadeo, demonstrations, and more! The committee members help with the following:
- Evaluation of speaker submittals
- Public works director roundtable
- Schedule of events
- Food and beverage
- Exhibitor recruitment and assistance
- Advertising and outreach for the event
- On site “day of” volunteering
- Registration, set up and tear down following the event
This event is our biggest event of the year with over 350 people and 34 exhibitors in attendance over the two days providing networking and new product discussions. The Conference Planning Committee is looking for energetic, committed volunteers to help us pull off a successful Public Works Expo again in 2023!
