Joan Chaplick serves as the Director of Management and Policy Services at MIG, a multi-disciplinary corporation offering services in public involvement, planning, design, management, communications, graphics, and technology. With more than 20 years of experience in public involvement and community planning, Joan is an expert in public outreach strategies and facilitation, community involvement, funding and collaborative land use planning. Joan has worked with rural, suburban and urban communities throughout the state to design and facilitate outreach strategies that engage community members in developing a future vision for their community, identifying and evaluating alternatives, discussing contentious issues and creating processes that support long and short-term goals. She has a niche skill in implementing multilingual public involvement programs for rural transportation planning initiatives.
